What We Do
HMS offers free neutral mediation for rental housing – for residents, housing providers and even neighbors. We have been around since 2003 and have helped 3,000+ people resolve issues and remain in their homes. These can be disputes over things like noise, parking, cleaning, issues between two neighbors or a provider and the resident pertaining to any number of issues. The goal it to help people stay in their homes.
Our Mission
Housing Mediation Services is an organization that offers help for owners, managers and residents who have disagreements with each other over housing issues and there is no charge for the service.
Through Housing Mediation Services, those disputes, disagreements, and/or perceptions of bias can be clarified and resolved in a confidential, informal, but structured process. Improved communication leads to safer, more stable and desirable communities.
